Oberman's excuses for MSNBC sound like BS. If Ventura was so bad like they say why pay him for 3 years not to speak. If Donahue was too expensive why not lower the budget and see how his ratings hold up?

Are all the individual journalist in on it? No one doubts money corrupts journalism just as it does politics but to believe in a vast ill-defined conspiracy without any substantial evidence implies that person has a difficult time dealing with complex issues & ambiguity We all wish it were that simple but it aint.

In the end he says that the media failed in giving the American people information, I don't think they've failed, it's pretty obvious that the media wanted people to think that saddam was responsible, so they did their job pretty well..there is no real journalism anymore..

@bersaba No, Cenk is trying to tell us "what is" and not sound too brash or closed minded in doing so. Cenk made no mention of what Ventura stated clearly what was said about him on the phone by MSNBC execs.

What exactly are you trying to say Cenk? That MSNBC didn't buy Ventura's silence via contract? Donahue #1 rated show, dumped for anti war view? MSNBC wanted war just as much as any other corporation that stood to make huge profits from war. Olbermann is shit. Nailed Bush's ass to the wall and rightly so. Now listen to him. Dead silent as Obama EXPANDS what bush and co started.
